Hey it was good to see this post in my email this morning, I always looked forward to your signs, skate parks & pools, and piers on Twitter, as well as your thoughtful takes. Honestly I still think of your post “Nothing to say” every time I see an old empty sign. I’m glad that even though you are still going through some crazy health stuff, I see that you look strong and are still enjoying the world—it’s cheesy but life really is a gift, and the ability to experience this world is really pretty cool. Music is def for enjoying the present, and also the transcendent. It’s way more important than podcasts.

I love your book concrete vessels and gave one to my brother, who just turned 50 but spent most of his life skating, and he loves it too.

The last part of this post—maybe it was from the S-pod? I don’t know, I’m going to check it out—but anyhow it was lovely. I thinks Hitchens is coool btw I just don’t always agree with him lol—I especially like his literary commentary more so than the religious stuff : )

Well, I hope to see any more of your art, but if not, if you are just enjoying your life offline, that’s a win—every second counts : )

I meant to reply to this a long time ago. First off, thank you! Your reply makes me happy. It's always a nice surprise to know anyone cares what one does. I should give Hitchens a more fair chance. I've only heard his rants on organized religion. I think they are both low hanging fruit, and (from such a smart guy) intentionally mean spirited and incredibly ungenerous. And, I don't believe in the idea of a monotheistic god or call myself religious. Anyway, what would you recommend?

I’ve sniffed the air and blinked my eyes and shivered with wonder.
